WHO IS NON LINEAR THINKING FOR?

·         NON LINEAR THINKING WILL BE  RELEVANT TO THOSE WHO ARE REASONABLY SURE THAT THE FUTURE IS NO LONGER FOLLOWING PAST BASED PATTERNS AND HENCE PLANNING AND FORECASTING IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT!

·         FOR THOSE WHO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR RETURNS AND OUTPUT HAVE STARTED TO DECREASE COMPARED TO THE PAST &

·         MORE INPUTS AND GREATER RESOURCES SEEM TO BE INCREASINGLY REQUIRED FOR THE SAME OUTPUT.

·        Non Linear Thinking is suited to all economic activity, start ups, and individuals who perceive that they are disadvantaged in a system that seems to favor a decreasing minority; created and attributed to competition.

·        Non Linear Thinking is IDEAL for public policy and socio-economic issues that have become dilemmas with no RESULTS despite the availability of solutions!

·        It is however most likely that decision makers within public policy WOULD NOT want to adopt or use Non Linear thinking because their focus is generally to  resist change so as to RETAIN STATUS QUO!

Linear logic obliges conventional logic to attempt to forecast change in order to prepare for it. Non Linear Thinking is different as it accepts THE INSTABILITY OF THE FUTURE, which IS NOW ALMOST THE NORM.

In place of FORECASTING;  NLT would focus on preparedness to create a flexibility to respond as per need; and NOT necessarily to try to make ready plans for pre-specified events!!

 NLT is useable by the MAJORITY because it principally uses the “self” as the “internal’ resource for problem solving. This is opposed to linear logic that makes us dependant on “external” inputs like, New Resources, past knowledge and expert advice to analyse and find solutions.

”Non-linear” thinking can be the ideal “management tool” for those who are small or currently NOT in number ONE or TWO position; to develop an “edge” over the larger and organized players who are still expected by linear logic to dominate the markets!! 

While small businesses and individual entrpreneurship have been the driving force for growth and employment in almost every economy of the World - there are very few structured management and education systems that are designed for them. Despite the fact that ONLY SELF EMPLOYMENT through entrepreneurship can provide employment to the MILLIONS in India, experts still believe that organized industry is the solution. This is a myth! 

MOST higher education institutions; follow modern systems developed by successful Western universities. They are however focused on preparing MINDS for careers in big business & large corporate that have indirectly controlled their “the economic viability”. They are hence obliged to condition the mind of the student to expect maximum availability of RESOURCES.  

Non Linear Thinking therefore may NOT be suited nor sustainable for the majority in India. LINEAR LOGIC based teaching continues to proliferate the logic, that a small minority will always control the economic future of the majority. INDIA has just TOO MANY to employ and satisfy economically. Systems that FOCUS on management skills to strengthen LARGE “control based structures” will not help our LARGE NUMBERS!

 INDIA requires CREATIVITY enhancement to build SELF MANAGEMENT SKILLS that empower its individual millions to become small entrepreneurs within an INDIA CENTRIC LOCALIZED MODEL. Our students and youngsters  SHOULD NOT BE SOLD the philosophy, that MARKET DOMINANCE BY THE ORDAINED FEW,  is the only model for success! Excellence in the Non Linear Future need not be defined as the Jack Welch model where anyone who is NOT number ONE or TWO is destined to DIE!! 

Complex socio-economic problems within Management, taxation, labour , Economics, Education, Health, Management, Product Marketing, Population control, Global trade, Intellectual property rights, Democracy, Crime or any current or future linked issue can be addressed without  THE NEED FOR PAST BASED SKILLS AND HIGH COST BASED INPUTS!!!
