CONFLICT - The natural result of Hierarchal Systems !
 

WHILE CONFLICT WAS AN ACCEPTABLE LINEAR RESPONSE FOR RESOLUTION; IN THE NON LINEAR ERA IT INSURES CONTINUITY OF CONFLICT AND AGGRAVATES ANY SOLUTION. CONFLICT PERPETUATES ITSELF!

  • Despite centuries of “CIVIL-ization”,'CONTROL' STILL remains the "PRIMARY management method" and quest of all leaders and managers.
  • CONTROL is what we seek to have of markets, of geography, of people and even family. We have

    et to identify and put in practice any alternative management method!!
  • The most common battle of the non linear era is thus between those “in control” of the
    resources to extend their battle to RETAIN STATUS-QUO, and those who “are being controlled
    and seek equalization.
  • With Democracy as the preferred norm BY society, we need to acknowledge the paradox that "UNLESS
    we can change our management skills CONFLICT will become the most common feature of
    democratic expression".

  • What changes:
  • Modern management systems remain totally dependant on OUTPUT as the only measure of progress, reward and evaluation of performance. (see NLT in Management)
  • CONFLICT is thus a natural result of OUR CONTROL & OUTPUT-FOCUSSED SYSTEMS for BOTH the controller and the overwhelming majority who are being controlled.
  • In the non linear era democratic rights, justice, opportunity, and freedom have come to mean and be measured in ECONOMIC TERMS. Despite conventional embarassment we should accept that “Economics controls Human Values.
  • CONFLICT for economic gain or survival must also be expected as the Natural response of those who seek to protect their “CORE” struggle for economics which defines modern society.
  • Resolution of conflict can no longer be based on “strength”, as now the WEAK can wage war with few numbers being sufficient to create great loss. NOW great strength is required in the form of muscle and resources to DEFEND.
  • Management of CONFLICT in the Non Linear Era requires a "new set of skills".
